The story

It started with a need I saw at work.

Working in IT project management and PMO roles, I’ve used many useful tools. Jira and Confluence, for example, are great for organising projects, tracking work and sharing knowledge.

But I often wished for a straightforward, interactive board dedicated to retrospectives: one place where everyone could share thoughts, collect feedback, prioritise topics and agree on practical improvements.

That idea became Easy Retro. It’s my personal software project, and I’m developing it step by step. My focus is on building something genuinely helpful in everyday teamwork – without adding more complexity.

Easy Retro supports the retrospective process, from collecting feedback to following up on action items.

Capture and organise feedback

Create boards with custom columns, add ideas as cards and combine related contributions into clusters. Contributions can be displayed anonymously. In private collection mode, guests initially see only their own cards, until the board owner opens the discussion to the group.

Discuss and prioritise together

Participants can join a board through a guest link and vote within configurable limits. A timer helps keep the session moving. Optional screen-sharing privacy blurs card content for the owner’s presentation; it does not replace access controls.

Turn insights into action

Record action items with owners and optional due dates. Track open, completed and overdue items across your boards. Simple insights show retrospective counts, cards and action-item progress.
